Alexander Mauritz (born 1960) is operational manager of the owner-operated municipal enterprise Wastewater Management Mannheim. Among other positions, he was Head of Wastewater Department at the city of Hanau and project engineer at the process engineering company Dorr-Oliver in Wiesbaden as well as at the consultancy company Lahmeyer International in Frankfurt. At the Technical University Karlsruhe he studied civil engineering with a specialisation on urban water management

Alexander Mauritz is also actively participating in the most important network of European major cities, namely EUROCITIES. There he represents the city of Mannheim in the Environment Forum and holds the chair, together with the City of Malmö in the Working Group "Water". Furthermore, Alexander Mauritz is a member of the DWA-Advisory Committee Baden-Wuerttemberg (DWA: German Association for Water Economy, Waste Water and Waste). Additionally, he also teaches within the DWA in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Since 2015, Alexander Mauritz is member in the presidium of the AöW (Alliance of Public Water Management).
