Edgar Pieterse is Director of the African Centre for Cities. He is working with various colleagues to grow a network of urban research centres called: African Urban Research Initiative. Since 2016, he has co- authored several papers on the New Urban Agenda. Mr Pieterse. has been a key contributor to the previous GOLD report, “Co-creating the Urban Future” and the African Centre for Cities has been a lead contributor to the GOLD V report on the Localization of the SDGs.
