Mr. Lance Joel is currently the Executive Manager in the office of the Chief Executive Officer at the South African Local Government Association (SALGA).
SALGA is an autonomous association of municipalities with its mandate derived from the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. Lance leads key operations in SALGA and oversees the 9 Provincial Offices. Lance has 17 years of experience in law and politics, municipal governance and has an astute knowledge and understanding of all local government legislation; as well as extensive experience in financial management, policy development and management, and corporate governance. Joel, an admitted Attorney, holds a BA (Law) and LLB from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
