As a senior advisor, she supports the implementation of the MMC’s mandate to empower and enable cities with knowledge, connections, and technical assistance to engage in migration diplomacy and policy-making on a regional and international level (https://www.mayorsmigrationcouncil.org). Prior to joining the MMC, she was a Senior Advisor on Migration and Climate at International Relations Office, City of Montreal. She has also been Acting Director of the Office of the Integration of Newcomers – BINAM. She previously gained over 20 years of experience as a human rights lawyer and consultant in international development in the field of governance, rule of law and human rights. She also has additional experience in immigration as an administrative judge at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) as well as an immigration lawyer. Migrations, inclusion and human rights are at the heart of her professional commitment.
