Mayor SEFIANI is an engineer and has been the Mayor of Chefchaouen since 2009. In addition to this role Mayor Sefiani is President of the UCLG Forum of Intermediate Cities, Co President of Africa Climate Task Force within CGLU-Africa, President of the Medinas Mediterranean Network, President of the Moroccan Association for Eco-Cities (AMEV), while also being a Board Member of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy.
